Taylor Fromm:
I am a third-year molecular-cellular bio major with a minor in microbiology (I came into Cal Poly as a biomed engineer). I've been a member of AMSA since freshman year, but didn't really get involved till sophomore year. Last year I attended the regional conference in Vegas and served on the officer's board helping with Books for Africa. I hope that we get a balanced budget this year so we are able to spend all of the money efficiently without having to end the year giving money back, and hopefully earn enough from fundraisers so as to have the next year's officer board with some financial backing. Feel free to contact me for anything.

AMSA National
The American Medical Student Association (AMSA), with a half-century history of medical student activism, is the oldest and largest independent association of physicians-in-training in the United States.
Today, AMSA is a student-governed, national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. With a membership of more than 62,000 medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and practicing physicians from across the country, AMSA continues its commitment to improving medical training and the nation's health.
How is AMSA different from other organizations? When you join AMSA, you become part of a vital force of future physicians who believe that patients and health professionals are partners in the management of health care and that access to high-quality health care is a right and not a privilege. At AMSA, activism is a way of life. Student idealism is transformed into meaningful public service, innovation and institutional change.
